Açaí Bowl

This creamy, rich, and decadent açaí bowl is a perfect way to pack in fresh fruit, vitamins, and fiber. I find açaí bowls get very heavy and filling when they are filled with nut butters or Nutella, therefore, this one still gives you delicious flavors without weighing you down. Use coconut water as your liquid if you want a less thick, creamy texture, and use almond milk if you do.

Yields: 1 serving

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3.5 ounces of frozen acai

  • ½ cup frozen mango

  • ¾ cup of frozen sliced bananas

  • 4 large fresh strawberries 

  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

  • ½ cup of unsweetened coconut water or almond milk

Instructions:

  • Place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until thick and smooth. If the mixture is too thick and doesn’t fully blend, add a splash more of coconut water. 

  • Spoon the acai into a bowl and top with fresh fruit, dried coconut flakes, granola, or whatever you please!
